Pastor's Page

St. Paul Lutheran Church, a Congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, because of the love of God in Christ, is challenged singly and collectively, to worship, teach, share and respond.  THIS IS OUR MISSION.

Pastor Hawksley's Message for Summer 2010

Is it summer yet? As you read the Pastor's Page, we have experienced a very cool and rainy spring. Summer, with its warm weather and more relaxed pace, is a wishful dream. But we know the summer will come, and with it the opportunities to rest and renew, vacation and visit. As you plan your summer, I pray you will have time to do all these things. Take time, too, to rest and renew in the Lord. Set aside time each day for prayer, Bible and devotional reading. Plan to attend church each Sunday, whether here at St. Paul or wherever you may be. Summer is a good time to experience different worship settings.

As the rain nourishes the earth so that all living things may grow and flourish, our lives grow and flourish as we live out our Christian calling, grounded in Word and Sacrament. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we are enabled to witness, serve, and support. Summer provides unique opportunities to be and bring Christ to others.

A restful, renewing summer to you all.

In His service,

      R. Maureen Hawksley, Pastor
